Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS)

BCS asks all parents & guardians to register with VIPS every year

• To register as a volunteer, go to https://www.houstonisd.org/VIPS and register
  
• Complete a brief online orientation
• Fill out the online registration form
  • Select ONLY your students' schools
  • Select ALL the volunteer functions you might help with (example: you MUST check chaperone if you want to help with field trips)
• The background check takes 3-5 days
  
• After you are approved, bring your photo identification to school to scan into the Raptor (volunteer) system
