3rd Grade Winter Market 🛍️ 🎨 ❄️

Description
Our 3rd graders have been hard at work preparing for our annual 3rd Grade Market, a culminating learning experience for their IB PYP unit How We Organize Ourselves. Throughout this unit, students explored how supply, demand, scarcity, and choice help shape economies--and now they're putting their learning into action with their own market of handmade goods and services! Who can participate? The 3rd Grade Market is open to students only in grades PK-5. (Due to the handcrafted nature of the items and the capacity of our 3rd graders, the market is not open to parents or visitors.) When will students shop? Each class will have a 15-minute shopping window. How much should students bring? We recommend sending your child with a donation of $5 or less. All students will be able to browse, regardless of monetary contribution. How much do items "cost"? All craft items--handmade by our 3rd graders--will be available for $3 or less. Where do the proceeds go? All donations will be given to a charity selected by the 3rd grade students. We also want to extend a huge thank you to all families and the PTO who donated materials to help bring these crafts to life. Thanks to your generosity, our wishlist was cleared within days! Thank you for supporting our learners as they apply their understanding of economics in a real-world, community-minded experience. We're looking forward to a wonderful 3rd Grade Market!
